Dr. J. Thomas Dean

Dr. Dean has always been concerned for the health of Pickens County as is evident by his commitment to community service. Dr. Dean has been in the practice of Orthodontics in Easley for the past thirty years. During those years he has improved the dental health of thousands of children as well as adults. He has also served the area by sitting on the Baptist Medical Center Foundation Board for six years. The board elected him Chairman in 1996. Dr. Dean has always been supportive of schools, church and community. Ask someone about Dr. Dean and they will respond “his reputation speaks for itself.” When a team member was asked to describe him they responded “he is a father figure to us all, patients, parents and team members alike!”

Dr. Dean is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Dental School. He also completed a Post Graduate Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Boston University. He is a member of the American Dental Association, S.C.D.A., the American Orthodontic Association and the S.C.O.A. Dr. Dean served as the President of the South Carolina Orthodontic Association from 1985-1986.

When Dr. Dean is not in the office you may find him on the coast or in the community with family or friends.
